Has there ever been anyone who’s rivaled the TV career Ted Danson’s had? (More inside)

My friend and I were discussing people who’ve been successful on TV, and I honestly don’t know anyone who’s had as much success (Not necessarily accolades, but longevity, public recognition, etc.) as Ted?

Cheers, Becker, Damages, Bored to Death, CSI & CSI: Cyber, Fargo (Season 2), The Good Place and now Mr. Mayor (which appears to be on track to for a third-season renewal).

That’s not including any one-offs he’s had or Season 1 cancellations, nor does it include his 30 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

He basically been a household name for 40 years now because of his TV work.

I’m not as well versed in the older TV stars (pre-80s), but to my knowledge, I can’t think of anyone who’s come close.
