first time watcher here, season 3 episode 9, can't get my jaw off the floor

I'm tagging this as a spoiler because I'm not sure who hasn't seen the show but that ending of episode 9 wasn't what I expected at all. I can not believe what they just did. I thought they would for sure not kill off those characters, I am in shock and needed to say it somewhere, cant believe I waited so long to watch this show
