Although they turned out o be pretty terrifying in their own right, I think it would have been even cooler if the Whisperers actually did turn out to be slightly evolved walkers

With one extra smart walker leader that could actually maintain a conversation with some of the survivors.

Kinda of like a Ceaser in planet of the apes, but with walkers
