I sifted the internet for an explanation for Lydia and Walter coffeeshop scene and found no answer

I've been -for the past few years- wondering what was the deal with the obvious emphasis on Lydia's nose in the coffee shop scene with Walter? And whether or not it was a coincidence (I personally don't think so).

I know it may sound stupid to some of you BrBa fans, but I like to think that this is one of the greatest motion pictures of all time and hands down the best directing in history of TV Drama.
