There's a similar shot in Breaking Bad and better Call Saul where a couple holds hands. While holding hands is a universal way of showing affection, the way each scene was shot and shown at the end of each episode makes it either a nod to BB or foreshadowing in BCS.
I'm probably reading too much into it, but maybe Jimmy and Kim's relationship is more similar to Jane and Jesse than Walt and Skyler. At first I was thinking Kim and Jimmy were a power couple, and had a similar vibe to Walt and Skyler, in which one found out about the other's illegal activity and supported them until the true monster came out. Now I'm thinking Kim and Jimmy are like Jane and Jesse, at first Jane/Kim were living good lives and going straight, but once Jesse/Jimmy intoxicates them with their charm and fun crimes, they each corrupt the other until the one's untimely demise.
Kim was a straight and narrow lawyer, but participated in Jimmy's con once, then started her own con later on. She even reminded Jimmy to make sure there was no evidence remaining of his file manipulation. Now, she's defending his crimes and it appears will stay with him no matter what.
I'm probably over-analyzing it, but what do you think? Is Kim a similar archetype/character to Skyler or Jane? Is she a combination of both? Or is she her own character? Is Jimmy's taste in women the same as Walt's taste in lawyers, only the very best, with just the right amount of dirty?
TLDR: Similar hand holding scenes in BB and BCS, Kim/Jimmy are like Jane/Jesse and/or Skyler/Walt.
