Jamie became known as the king slayer to prevent the mad king from blowing up King's Landing. Now the woman he has obsessed over has done the very thing he sacrificed so much to prevent. He chose the King's guard to be close to her, I suspect. He gave up the claim to Casterly Rock by taking his vows and again when offered so by his father. Now all of his children are dead and I am anxiously awaiting to see this character arc play out. I'd like to draw on the collective wisdom here to really dig into Jamie's state of mind going forward. Did his obsession over Cersei lead to him losing his hand? I can't really remember the events leading up to that moment. I know he just wanted to get back to her after being captured. Did their love shape events in the first place that led to his capture?
