I just rewatched season 2 and realized that the group are villains! Especially Daniel, Maddie, and now Travis. They took out that military base in season 1, killing alot of people. Madison killed Celia even though she wasnt evil at all, just had a different and more peaceful belief about the dead. Makes sense that Nick left them.
