I'm kind of glad that the show didn't pursue the whole "any two gay characters should end up together" vibe. I understand that there was a dash of chemistry between them, but in any other context, it's just bromance. I know everyone was so excited for the only two gay characters left to blossom into each other's arms and whatever, but if we're going to add things like Beth's death (which I'm still mad about) to make the show seem real, then I guess we gotta keep with it. Just to clarify, I do not oppose LGBTQ+ romance in the media in any way, it was simply refreshing that a show would only allow people to be together if they found them compatible as partners and not just friends.
