What is your opinion of a pacifist approach in a dystopian / post apocalyptic era?

Because look, the thought itself is nice. But realistically seems of little chance rate.

If you are up against a controlled environment with just one or two enemies and you have outnumbered them it's nice to give them an opportunity to reconsider and give mercy.

However in extremities it just may be out of control?

Imagine if this controlled environment was like The Hunger Games, and people are getting tourtured or killed on the spot for disabling power of authority or opposition. Even attempting a pacific approach is... Well unfortunate.

In a world like Fear the walking dead you already see in season 2 or 3 of a ruthless sociopath within the beginning and showed the consequences when they abuse power that at that moment didn't neccesarily prove pacifism isn't applicable 24/7 in a dystopian time.

What is your opinion?
