All right, so I've been thinking about how "Better Call Saul: Season 5" ended. We know that Lalo survives his assassination attempt by Gus' henchmen. We know that Nacho gets out of dodge before Lalo figures out he had something to do with it. So, here's my problem. I want to know if Lalo dies. I think he will. I have a theory that goes something like this: Lalo tells Gus' man to tell him that Lalo is dead, though it was tough. Lalo's plan is barely thought out. If Gus is to believe this, he would need at the very lest, one henchmen to meet him in person and discuss the events. The henchman that survived Lalo is badly burned and would likely die if not tended to. This is obviously not going to happen considering Lalo just walks out on the injured man. Gus will figure out soon that Lalo is very much alive. We know that in Breaking Bad (BB), that Nacho and Lalo are mentioned by Saul. Now, if Jimmy doesn't know that Lalo is dead, you would assume that Gus knows as well. However, we hear Gus say to Hector, "The Salamanca name dies with you." This would be impossible if Gus wasn't 100% sure that every member of the family is dead, which includes Lalo. We know that Gus is extra thorough in everything he does, for example, knowing information about Jesse for his doctor to care for him if something went wrong when he killed the Cartel, even sourcing Jesse's blood type. Not to mention, if Lalo is alive in BB, why is Tuco running his business? So yes, I do believe Lalo will die next season. What I want to know is how. There's still a lot we need to learn next season for a clean transition into BB. We need to be introduced to the disappear-er (which I think Nacho will be his lifeline), we need to figure out why Kim isn't featured in BB (which I assume has something to do with Howard), we need to see the first time Jimmy get's his office, we need to be introduced to Kuby, and we need to see the fall out between Jimmy and Sandpiper. I think Kim will go through with her idea of getting Howard disbarred, in some way that can relate to Star Wars, considering that behind the scenes, he is known as "Darth Vader in a fancy suit". I feel as if Kim will blackmail Howard into selling her HHM at a very cheap price and she will transform it into a pro-bono firm. This will obviously upset Jimmy, seeing as that company was raised on his family name and she took it from him. This will be the falling out between her and Jimmy which will cause Jimmy to fully release Saul and promptly buy his office. This would make sense since at this point, a strip mall location would be the only thing he could afford for an office. He'd probably also blow some money on his DeVille that we see him drive in BB.
I want to know what you guys think. Do you think Lalo will die? Do you think Kim will die? Do you think Nacho will die? When will Gus finish the lab? When will Jimmy take his final plunge to Saul? Will Jimmy re-marry since he said he was married twice in BB? I love this show and I would love to see your guys' reactions and predictions.
