For a spin-off series, the general perception always is that it can't match the foundational series in any way. Also when it's a spin-off to something as big as Breaking Bad, oh man, there are such low odds that it could even match the standards set, leave alone be better than that.
BCS wasn't here to be a prequel to an already established brand, it was here to create one of its own! The tune of the show, it's rhythm, it's vibe, is so eloquently written and is so different from Breaking Bad but yet convincing enough that in the end you know that this leads to the treasured storyline of BB
The mastery of #VinceGilligan and #PeterGould was already unequalled, with BCS, it is now unparalleled! In an era where shows are so much about science fiction, futuristic models, mind boggling mysteries and violent action, BCS will strike a chord with you as the most amazingly delicate written drama!
With BB there was a brilliant story build up, which ultimately showed the class it possesses in the penultimate season, followed up with a dream finale and then with a perfect closure in El Camino
With BCS, it keeps you engaged with clever writing mixed with scintillating cinematography since the beginning and just when you think 'oh, now it has to hit a stumbling block', the show turns to be one heck of suspenseful edge of a seat spectacle!
In the end I would just like to say, it's amazing how Gilligan wrote a whole fresh story for 2 characters from the main show who were just meant to be a comic sidekick and a silent suppor, into something so beautiful yet compelling piece of art
BCS can't be compared to BB and let me just admit it now, because it has an edge over BB, in some aspects, even better than it.
In short words, BCS is everything BB wasn't!
Anyways, its all good Man!
