Does anybody here have any criticisms about the show?

I think Breaking Bad is one of the most consistently loved shows on Reddit, often regarded as maintaining the same extreme high quality throughout every episode, so I'd be interested in hearing any criticisms.

For me there are a few things, most notably:

Luck. Luck pushes the plot forward so many times in the show and stops Hank from discovering Walter is Heisenberg, and also is the only reason he finds out Walt is Heisenberg in the end when he happens to find his book on the toilet. I understand this is because It's supposed to be Walt's arrogance that leads to him getting caught, but they could've had Hank suspect Walt using his detective skills and the book being the evidence that breaks the camels back and it would've had the same effect. Hank also breaks the law/protocol/rules to send pictures of crime scenes to Walt at least twice from my recollection when it's probably one of the reasons the rules were created. I know his character often breaks the rules of his job but it's still frustrating, especially when the show has such good writing overall, including Walt using his intellect to escape bad situations like in the pilot episode or when he blows up Tuco's office. Not to mention all the times Hank has to rely on Walt, letting Walt sabotage his investigation when Hank could've used other methods of getting around.

Mike's death. I think Mike not realising Walt, who was clearly dangerous and had motive in a time when Mike was paranoid about leaving, could've had his gun before checking it is out of character. It's the only time, or maybe one of the few times, we see Mike not be as careful as he can be. I think he would've driven away before checking incase Walt was planning to kill him. Especially when considering how in Better Call Saul S1 he goes in without a gun only because he has done extensive research, and states he does for all of his jobs. Maybe there's an argument to be made he was going to run out of luck being an assassin eventually, but I'd like to have seen Walt rely more on his intelligence again to kill Mike.

Also one of the earlier seasons, 2 or 3 I believe, I found slower and thought had less action than previous seasons, although I can't complain about the writing in that scenario. There was also a scene in the beginning of one of the episodes were Mike kills a few people breaking into a place for Gus and, during this scene, throws a shoe down a hallway where the person at the other end of the hall promptly runs straight forward without checking any corners or looking like he was prepared to kill someone, which I thought was unrealistic. Not that it effects the show at all, just a nitpick.
