I’m on a rewatch, about halfway through season 2 and a few scenes kind of popped that made me raise questions about Hank and his wealth.
- His house is beautiful and in a moneyed area with a freakin mountain in his backyard. This by itself wouldn’t raise any red flags considering that they have a very small household.
-He whips out a big roll of cash when he reimburses the neighborhood kid for his RC car being destroyed by Marie. (That whole scene seems unnecessary to be honest unless it was to show that he always has a wad of cash)
-Marie has no compunctions about shoplifting/outright theft. Hank is well aware of the behavior but doesn’t seem alarmed by the actions until it starts affecting him professionally. Is it possible that she feels enabled because Hank is also taking money and or goods indiscriminately?
-His entire office gifts him Tuco’s grill! Cmon. That thing is not a mall kiosk grill, Gold and diamonds for sure. Yet the office felt like they could take it from evidence and give it to their boss as a gift for his promotion. Learned behavior maybe?
-Smaller stuff is: new vehicles, a luxury patio, a jet ski, MINERALS!
