Prefacing this by saying I [of course] loved most of GOT, particularly the character development, costuming, sets, scenery, writing.
I'm rewatching it now and while so many unanswered questions, storylines left open, plot points that went no where and characters who completely flopped or changed faces more than Jaquen, my ND ass feels like I'm in the minority who were really bothered by Shae's betrayal of Tyrion.
They built her up like she was mysterious, perhaps an assassin, or maybe from a powerful family? Perhaps she had powers we didn't know about just lurking under the surface? But nope. Nothing. It prob actually bothers me more because she wasn't much of a char in the book so what was the point making her a character in the show who appeared fiercely loyal, moralistic, devoted, stubborn, a hard-headed fighter who was obstinate in the face of everyone not caring who they were.
It would have been entirely different if they did all the build up and then we watched Tywin break her at least that would make sense.
Everyone who I've talked GOT with looked at me blankly when I brought her up as one of my top 10 disappointments from the series π
