Werner Ziegler and the myth of Orpheus

After finishing the season 4, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between the two stories. Here's the short version of the myth from Britannica:

With his singing and playing he charmed the ferryman Charon and the dog Cerberus, guardians of the River Styx. His music and grief so moved Hades, king of the underworld, that Orpheus was allowed to take Eurydice with him back to the world of life and light. Hades set one condition, however: upon leaving the land of death, both Orpheus and Eurydice were forbidden to look back. The couple climbed up toward the opening into the land of the living, and Orpheus, seeing the Sun again, turned back to share his delight with Eurydice. In that moment, she disappeared.

The obvious parallels are descent into the underworld and looking back afterwards, but it goes deeper than that.

Fring is here king of the underworld, both literary and figuratively. He controls the drug network and underworld under the washers.

I'd guess that Mike is Cerberus. It's clear that the two bonded and Werner persuaded both him and Fring that he's the right man for the job.

Would love to hear what you think!
