Rewatching the show for the nth time and I realized that Gus was pulling the strings around Walter even around season 1.

Ok. I've looked everywhere for this and I didn't find anything. So it might just be me. I might be wrong. But in the first season, after Walt and Jesse made a couple of deals with Tuco, Jesse starts saying that they see a black Cadillac just like the one Tuco drives watching his house. Then in the same episode, when Walt goes home, he sees the same black SUV waiting on his street.

Now, what I am thinking here is that the guy in the car is not Tuco, nor any of his people. Cause why would Tuco do all this subterfuge? He doesn't need to have people followed, he can just intimidate them. Then, after he does kidnap Jesse and Walt and they are in the desert, Tuco is suprised to find out that Walt's name is Walt and not Heisenberg. If he were the one who followed him to his house, he would have already known his real identity from the adress. But it's not Tuco. I think it's actually Gus! And it has nothing to do with Walter here. I am just thinking that Gus has Mike following Tuco, or most likely has someone in the Salamanca crew working for him, and seeing that Tuco just found a new supplier of good meth, Gus does what he always does and tries to fuck up the Salamanca operation. In this case, by making the suppliers, Walt and Jesse, freaked out of their seller and possibly try to kill him. Except Tuco, paranoic as fuck as he is, he's freaking out because of his missing guy so starts to suspect Walt and Jesse of snitching. Perhaps even that thought and the reason he kidnaps them both was another plot of Gus.

Perhaps it was too soon in the show to even have Gus as an idea for the creators, but still I think it wouldn't be far off for Gus's character to be pulling the strings since earlier on without us knowing. I have a feeling that if it was really Gus trying to get Jesse and Walt paranoid, then we will surely get a glimpse of that in Better Call Saul. Mark my words!
