This isn’t a new development but upon rewatching it reminded me and became much more apparent just how much of an impact Little Finger had on the seven kingdoms. Firstly, he was the one who essentially poisoned Jon Arryon, asking Lysa who was head over heals in love with him in addition to being a bit “off” we’ll say, to poison him. This led to Robert needing a new hand and his first choice: Ned. Everybody knows how honorable Ned is so of course he’s going to do some digging all the whilst Little Finger “helping” him when Catelyn came into town. Of course he betrays him in what I assume is to further his position with the lannisters and & in hopes of finally getting with his true love: Cat. He knew Ned was to be killed in a sense, he’s always 10 steps ahead and even baited Ned into visiting one of Roberts bastards. This then causes Robb Stark to rebel & well in turn gets both Robb & Cat killed. He’s essentially the first domino that sparks everything we see in the show. Robert and Cersei wouldn’t be in Winterfell if it weren’t for the death of Jonn therefore Brann would’ve never been shoved out of the castle leading to Cat arresting Tyrion and Tywin sparking a war. This isn’t anything new and i recognize I’m treading on old ground but rewatching this show really puts it into perspective especially because I had forgotten portions of the story. Anyways thanks for reading my rant (I just finished season 4 & I honestly do not remember how Sansa got into the hands of the Bolton’s. but I reckon Finger has a hand in this, not a kings but a hand, it’s been years since a rewatch so I’m excited to see what new things I pick up on. Cheers!)
