These characters are truly fantastic to watch. You'd be forgiven for presuming they were regular cast members considering how much screentime they have but at most Dukat or Nog appeared in half the episodes of the series while someone like the character of Eddington appeared in just seven. And yet he received so much complexity that even some regular cast members on other Trek series like Voyager or Enterprise after seven or four seasons didn't receive.
Credit to the writers for fully believing in the actors portraying these roles and giving them so much to convey. Heck, even Damar who seemed a glorified extra for a few seasons was given one hell of a story arc in season 7.
My favorite is either Garak or Nog. They are so enriched and a thrill to be a witness to. Hell, I'd watch a solo series based on their backstory!
Jeffrey Combs as Weyoun should have been nominated for multiple Saturn Awards. That guy has incredible range!
