First time here. I’m just laying here thinking how much Ned Starks death is poetic justice.
In the first scene, we find ourselves watching Ned Stark killing a man for abandoning his post, due to him seeing the white walkers - but no one believed him.
Fast forward - Ned abandons his role as hand of the king and makes a claim that no one believes. (Finger quotes).
Then, the same way Ned killed the watchmen - Ned Stark loses him in the same manner.
It starts with a beheading. And ends in one. As if those who live by the sword, die by the sword. Karma.
