[SPOILERS] My name is Kirsten Acuna, and I’m an entertainment correspondent who covers “The Walking Dead” — AMA about the season finale and what to expect next, the comics, or the end of the Telltale game series

Hi TWDFamily! My name’s Kirsten Acuna and I’m an entertainment correspondent at INSIDER and one of my main points of focus is The Walking Dead.

I did an AMA awhile back and I thought it would be fun to do one again now that we’ve completed an entire season with a new showrunner (Angela Kang) saw a huge moment come to life from the comics in the penultimate episode, and have seen whether or not the show can survive without Andrew Lincoln (seems like it’s doing OK!).

A little about me: I started the show during season two at the suggestion of a friend. I was instantly into it and soon after caught up with Robert Kirkman’s comic series in a 2012 binge. I started writing about the show for Business Insider in 2013 while I was also editing. I’ve been fortunate to attend and cover series’ panels at both San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con several years over.

Our TV and movie coverage now lives on our lifestyle site INSIDER.com and I transitioned from editing to writing full time in 2016 and focused more heavily on interviewing the cast and crew.

This season I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Greg Nicotero, Khary Payton, episode directors Laura Belsey and Millicent Shelton, Matt Lintz (via email), Katelyn Nacon, and showrunner Angela Kang a few times. One of my favorite interviews from this season was getting to talk to Tom Payne about leaving the show.

This past December, I attended my first WSC at the suggestion of a fellow member of TWDFamily many of you probably know. I had a blast and look forward to attending more in the future. Early April, I’ll be heading to a summit for AMC where Angela Kang and Melissa McBride are expected to present on panels.

You can follow allowing with my coverage of “The Walking Dead” on INSIDER’s website here. Feel free to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, too. If you enjoy this chat, I regularly talk about TWD on Twitter @KirstenAcuna. On Sundays during the season, I live tweet commentary and reactions and share interviews w/ cast/crew breaking down the episode.
